- Anything read through NEXT_PUBLIC_ variables is shipped to the browser; secrets belong in server-only code such as route handlers or server actions.
- Next.js doesn't set a Content-Security-Policy or X-Frame-Options by default; you add them in next.config headers() or middleware.
- The X-Powered-By: Next.js header is on unless you set poweredByHeader: false.
🔎 SEO
- Generated pages may keep a default title or skip the metadata export, leaving no description or og:image.
- app/robots.ts and app/sitemap.ts are easy to forget.
⚡ Performance
- Making large components client components ('use client') adds JavaScript that could have stayed on the server.
